Adding Functionalities to Wms-wcs Clients: Animation and Download

The WMS-WCS client that we present here has the ability to integrate a sequence of requested static images in the form of an animated film. It allows the selection among predefined films and among the different available styles of visualization. Likewise, it has the typical player functions and it is possible to discard unwanted frames. A WCS client has also been integrated to the WMS browser. The WMS browser allows viewing the image and determining the area of interest. Later on, the client allows downloading the layer in the preferred format (MMZ, GeoTIFF, geo-referenced JPEG, RST, etc)and resolution and selecting those bands and characteristics that are really of interest, eliminating of typing or knowing with accuracy the ground coordinates of the area of interest, saving user and server time and preventing unnecessary network traffic.
